Border Accounting Services was established in 1984 by Elaine Gibbs.
Initially working from her kitchen table, Elaine has seen the business grow from there, through the cupboard under the stairs, to evicting the family from the sitting room , until in 2008 finally leaving home and becoming established at the Aspire Business Centre in nearby Tidworth. Unfortunately the 2009/2010 recession has seen the demise of a couple of larger clients, so like most 20 year olds the business has returned home to Mum and Dad, this time taking over the conservatory.
Some of Elaine’s clients have been with her for over 20 years, and she is very proud of the fact that most of her new business comes from client recommendations. Clients really appreciate the flexible and personal one to one service they receive and for their individual needs to be catered for.
Elaine has bookkeeping and accountancy qualifications from RSA, Gcse and the Association of Accounting Technicians, and has accumulated a huge wealth of experience in the last 25 years in all sectors of retail, service and building industries. She is a registered agent with H M Revenue and Customs for electronic filing and maintenance of Payroll, Vat and Tax returns and also for monitoring compliance with Money Laundering Regulations, and the Data Protection Act.
